MESSENGER is part of an ongoing series of digital sculptures created from the worlds and mythologies Auriea Harvey alters. She remixes art history and autobiography and thinks about the connection between heaven and earth. ROMAN HEAVEN is a messenger of the gods inspired by her immersion in art and artifacts in Rome. ROMAN HEAVEN, created in the summer after pandemic lockdowns, relates to freedom and Harvey’s questioning belief in an afterlife. It is dedicated to her husband.
